Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a purple thistle of the daisy family that grows along roads and on wasteland throughout Europe. Silymarin is the collective name for a group of flavonolignans from this plant. The extract in Silymarin Complex is standardised to 80% silymarin: 300 mg extract per capsule, of which 240 mg silymarin.

Each capsule also contains 100 mg dandelion root extract in a 4:1 ratio and 50 mg artichoke extract, standardised to 2.5% chlorogenic acid. The EU has not approved any health claims for these three plants, so you only read here what is in it and how much.
